About the measures to limit the spread of Covid-19 in the territory of VK Terminal Services Ltd. (terminal and administrative building)

Taking into account the significantly increasing incidence of Covid-19 and the decision of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Latvia on 09.10.2021. issued order No. 720 "On declaring a state of emergency", we inform you that from November 15, 2021, it is planned to intensify the control of the flow of people at the entrance to the terminal territory of VK Terminal Services Ltd. and the administrative building at Dzintaru street 66, Ventspils. It is planned that entry through the checkpoints will mainly be possible only for persons with a valid vaccination or infection certificate or for persons with a testing certificate issued no earlier than 72 hours ago, or for persons with an employer organized no earlier than 72 hours ago screening antigen test. This applies both to persons with passes already issued, and to persons who will be issued permanent or one-time passes during the declared state of emergency.

In addition, we would like to draw your attention to the fact that according to the aforementioned order, from December 15, 2021, only employees of external service providers who have a valid vaccination or infection certificate will be able to perform work in person on the territory of  VK Terminal Services Ltd.

All persons in the territory of VK Terminal Services Ltd. (terminal and administrative building) must comply with the following requirements, the enforcement control of which will be strengthened:

  • it is forbidden to visit structural units, internal premises, other workplaces, if the visit is not related to the performance of work in accordance with contracts, regulatory acts or instructions;
  • it is forbidden to visit common areas that are not in the immediate vicinity of the workplace (for employees of contractors - according to the instructions of the responsible contacts of VK Terminal Services Ltd.);
  • contact the staff of VK Terminal Services Ltd. as a matter of priority only outside the premises, it is mandatory to use a correctly applied face mask and keep a distance of at least 2 m;
  • indoors, including offices, if there is more than one employee in the room, it is mandatory to use face masks;
  • plan and organize work in such a way as to ensure physical distancing of employees (at least 2 m) as far as possible;
  • if the work is performed outdoors and physical distancing of at least 2 m is not possible, all employees must wear face masks;
  • divide those working together (in one room or one object) into the smallest possible groups.

It is forbidden to be in the territory of the terminal and in the administrative building for employees of contractors:

  • who have a laboratory-confirmed diagnosis of COVID-19;
  • who have neither been vaccinated against Covid-19 nor contracted a Covid-19 infection and have stayed in one of the countries published on the SPKC website (https://www.spkc.gov.lv/lv/valstu-saslimstibas-raditaji-ar- covid-19-0), which are subject to special precautions and restrictive measures;
  • who during the last 10 days have been in contact with people sick with COVID-19 or contact persons and have neither been vaccinated against Covid-19, nor contracted a Covid-19 infection;
  • who have signs of an acute respiratory tract infection: runny nose, cough, throat inflammation, elevated body temperature, breathing disorders, but the necessary tests have not been performed and their results received;
  • who need a vaccination or infection certificate for the performance of work duties or the provision of services;
