Processing of personal data in the personnel selection process

The successful operation of SIA VK Tranzīts group of companies is based on professional and talented employees. It is important for us that applicants know what personal data we process and why. Therefore, in the employee selection process we provide information on the processing of personal data.

SIA VK Tranzīts, as a personal data processor, may perform the selection of employees on behalf of other group companies based on the agreement.

2. SOURCES OF PERSONAL DATA

We process your personal data if:

  • we have received your application for a specific vacancy;
  • we have received your application and you want us to contact you regarding possible vacancies;
  • we have received information about you in cooperation with a recruitment company or based on publicly available information on job and career portals, such as LinkedIn, CV Online, or on the recommendation of your friend or acquaintance;
  • we have received information about you from the State Employment Agency.

3. PURPOSE OF PROCESSING

The purpose of data processing is the processing of personal data in the employee selection process in order to provide the Company with suitably qualified employees.

4. LEGAL GROUNDS FOR DATA PROCESSING

When applying for a vacancy, the legal grounds for data processing is the person's consent to the processing of his or her data, which the person expresses through active action by applying for the announced vacancy.

In the selection process, including job interviews, the legal grounds for the processing of personal data is the legitimate interests of the company - to assess the applicant's compliance with the requirements of the vacancy and to recruit the most suitable applicants.

5. CATEGORIES OF DATA

We only process the data that is necessary for your identification and the assessment of professional suitability, i.e.

  • Identification data: your name, surname
  • Contact information: address, email address/telephone number
  • Professional suitability data: information on education and work experience, language and IT knowledge, other knowledge and skills according to the specific vacancy
  • other data voluntarily provided in the CV and/or application and relevant to the vacancy advertised
  • data obtained during the job interview (questionnaire, test, task results)

Therefore, provide only the contact information and information needed to assess your professional suitability on your CV!

When you come to a job interview, you should know that for security purposes, our offices and territory have video surveillance cameras and a pass mode. Access to the premises and territory is controlled.

6. PERIOD OF STORAGE

If the applicant is not invited for a job interview, personal data is stored for 4 months after the application deadline, except for in the cases when the Company defends its legal interests. In this case, personal data may be stored until the legitimate interests are provided for.

7. PERSONAL DATA RECIPIENTS

Recipients of the applicant's personal data are 1) employees of the controller involved in the selection process, Board Members, relevant Head of the structural unit 2) security service provider to prepare a pass for you if you are invited for a job interview in person. If the selection process is performed on behalf of the controller by SIA VK Tranzīts, as a personal data processor, the recipients of personal data are also the human resource specialists of SIA VK Tranzīts.

8. PLACE OF PROCESSING

Personal data obtained during the selection process are processed in Latvia; they are not sent outside the EU and the EEA.

9. AUTOMATED DECISION-MAKING

The selection process is not based on automated decision-making.

10. YOUR RIGHTS

You always have the opportunity to contact us and ask for your personal data to be rectified or deleted, to restrict data processing and object to data processing, to receive and transfer your personal data to another data controller, the right to withdraw consent, the right to file a complaint. You can exercise the above rights by submitting a written application in person at the registered address of each Company or by sending it by mail or electronically, signed with a secure electronic signature, to the email address of the respective Company.
